PATRICK SNOWDEN

Principal Engineer

Email:

Mr. Snowden has developed a diverse engineering background covering a wide range of materials and project types. Beginning his career working for large engineering consulting design firms, he honed his knowledge designing power plants, mines, and manufacturing facilities. He is the engineer of record for structural steel and concrete designs for numerous large projects. His design experience also includes project management, retrofit, and forensic investigations. Mr. Snowden has investigated many structural systems and building types constructed from a wide range of building materials as a result of damage due to natural disasters, weather events, and other causes of structural damage. His forensic investigative experience extends beyond residential to large commercial losses including mid-rise commercial towers, warehouses, HOA complexes, manufacturing facilities and more.

TODD STERN

Partner

Email:

Most of Todd’s entire career has been spent working in the construction industry.

He worked construction while in college and eventually took a position with a manufacturer of in exterior energy efficient structural building components and long span composite deck systems. His direct supervisor and mentor was a structural engineer. They primarily focused on exterior building envelopes for large commercial, industrial, military and government buildings and in doing so he learned more about exterior products (roofing, siding, efis, windows, etc.). This led him to start his own company in the exterior commercial and residential space, where he was able to scale from 1 office to 4 offices in 3 years and sell the business in year 7.

Todd missed the industry, specifically the engineering side of it. He and Patrick founded Orlo Forensics where they specialize in collapse, fire, flood, hail, wind, and disaster investigation and design. Working closely with Disaster, Industry as a whole, they’re brought onsite to complete investigations and compile reports to be submitted to insurance companies, contractors or attorneys.
